ISO 12151-1standard is for hose fittings with ISO 8434-3 O-ring face seal ends, hose nominal inside diameters from 6.3mm to 38mm

ISO 12151-2 standard is for hose fittings with ISO 8434-1 and ISO 8434-4 24 degree cone connector end with O-rings, hose nominal inside diameters from 5mm to 38mm

ISO 12151-3 standard is for hose fittings with ISO 6162-1 and ISO 6162-2 flange ends,hose nominal inside diameters from 12.5mm to 76mm

ISO 12151-4 standard is for hose fittings with ISO 6149 metric stud ends, hose nominal inside diameters from 6.3mm to 38mm

ISO 12151-5 standard is for hose fittings with ISO 8434-2 37 degree flare ends, hose nominal inside diameters from 6.3mm to 51mm

ISO 12151-6 standard is for hose fittings with ISO 8434-6 60 degree cone ends, hose nominal inside diameters from 5mm to 51mm

Connection types of hydraulic hose fittings as follows:

Crimped type: Hose end fittings is designed with barbed teeth and combined with the gripping teeth of ferrule, by crimping together for teeth metal to metal bite on braided and spiral reinforced hoses in hydraulic application. For low pressure usage, the ferrule is designed with no teeth or less teeth, such as suction and return line hose, PTFE hose and fabric braided hose. Hose crimped type fittings is different design in each company, there is no international standard, but all different types of crimped hydraulic hose fittings is used in ISO SAE EN DIN standard of hydraulic hoses.    

Reusable type: Hose end fittings is designed with reusable fine right hand thread instead of barbed teeth, no need for crimping assembly, easy to be fixed by turning the standard wrench, you can use this fittings in many times not as the crimped type only one time, so called reusable hose fittings and field attachable fittings. The matched ferrule(screw sleeve) is designed with female right thread for assembling to hose end fittings; and left hand thread for holding of hose and to prevent loosening of the screw sleeve(ferrule), they can be unscrewed from the hose end and used on a new hose. You can often find the reusable fittings used in suction and return lines, transportation air brake hose(SAE J517 100R5), high pressure hose for central lubrication, hydraulic hose with 1SN and 2SN of reusable hydraulic fittings in agricultural equipment repair market.

Hose clamp type: Beaded hose fittings is designed with formed tube ends, these connections are designed to be used with hoses that are intended to be retained by hose clamps. General applications in low pressure fluid handling and pneumatic system on automotive, industrial, and commercial products.Some barbed hose fittings is also assembled by hose clamps.

Push-lok type: Push lock hose fittings is designed with barbed teeth, also called hose barbed fittings, no clamps or special tools are required during installation. It is easy to assemble and disassemble, you can find in the low pressure applications such as in pneumatic, petroleum base hydraulic fluid,lubricating oils, and antifreeze solution. Push-lok assemblies can be made in seconds, saving valuable time and cost.
