Installing the wrong type or size of a BSP adaptor can either make pipe and hose connections impossible or threaten your entire hydraulic system. To avoid that, choose the same fittings as what you’re replacing or double-check that the new adaptors are compatible with the ports and assemblies.
For starters, decide whether you need male, female, tapered, or threaded connectors. As a manufacturer of BSP adaptors, Fitsch has all these options across parallel, straight, T-shape, elbow, and easy-to-maintain BSPP types.
Additionally, you should:
Accurately measure the ports, pipes, and hoses to be attached and check the outer diameters of BSP adaptors to pick the right fit.
Count threads and take a closer look at the cone angle to prevent ill-fitting connections down the road.
Explore what standards apply to your hydraulic system and inspect adaptors for compliance.
See whether your connections can accommodate O-rings or additional seals, which some BSP adaptors come with.
