Push on hose fittings is also called Push lock fittings, one type of field attachable fittings for quick connection, by pushing on hose barb into air hose or hydraulic hose. It is easy to use, no clamps/ferrules or special tools for making hose assemblies. Push on fitting is designed with barbed hose tail end without ferrule for crimping assembly, no skive hose direct seals tightly connection, widely used in low pressure hose in transfer of water, pneumatic, lubrication oils, petroleum base hydraulic fluid etc. The Fitsch and Parker Push-Lok fitting 82 series is designed with DIN, BSP, SAE and ORFS connections, material is available in brass, carbon steel and stainless steel for your usage options.

How to install push on barbed hose fittings
1. Identify over all length of hose assembly, the cut off allowance length of fitting(s) on hose ends.
2. Properly measure and mark hose.
3. Lubricate the Push-Lok fitting, hose I.D., or both with light oil or soapy water only - DO NOT USE HEAVY OIL OR GREASE.
4. Insert fitting into hose until first barb is in the hose.
5. Place end fitting against a flat object such as a work bench or wall. Grip hose approximately one inch from end and push with a steady force until the end of the hose is covered by the yellow plastic cap.
