Product Working Principle & Design
The DIN 2353 flareless compression fitting operates on a precision metal-to-metal bite mechanical principle. It is comprised of three perfectly synchronized parts: a body with a 24° internal cone, a DIN 3870 union nut, and a DIN 3861 cutting ring (ferrule).
The Double-Bite Advantage (Form B): Our factory standardizes on the Form B double-edge design. As the union nut is tightened, the cutting ring is driven down the 24° cone. The front and second cutting edges bite precisely into the exterior surface of the seamless pipe. This raises a controlled collar of material that locks the tube permanently against intense system pressure and extreme pull-out force.
Positive Stop Safety: The advanced geometry features an integrated "positive stop" collar that prevents over-tightening during field installation.
Rigorous Technical Specifications
Material Composition: Premium grade AISI 316L (1.4404) and AISI 304 (1.4301) stainless steel. For specialized high-temperature applications, we also supply SS316Ti (1.4571).
Material Hardness: All cutting rings undergo a proprietary heat-treatment process to reach a required hardness rating of HRC 38-45, ensuring a clean bite into heavy-walled seamless steel tubes.
