DIN is Deutsches Institut für Normungo and was found in 1917(see more info from the link https://www.din.de/en/din-and-our-partners/din-e-v ), it is designed with metric thread of tube nut for 24 degree cone tube connector, the first version of DIN 3870 in 1954, it is non-soldering and soldering compression fittings-union nuts series LL, the versions has 1954-1, 1957-05,1961-08,1965-09,1983-01,1985-05.DIN 3870 2001-09 newest version updated the specifications for S and L series coupling nuts, and for type A nuts for use with cutting rings as in DIN 3861, and 24°cone metric couplings as in DIN 3865 (excluding series LL 3 and LL 1 6 fittings) are now given in DIN EN ISO 8434-1 .
